Jason. Cool man. We gotta get some Mazda representation out there. Put me down. Can we get Alan to make it out?

I have a request for the north Texas folks.
Wed night my truck was stolen from my driveway (exactly 1 year after someone broke in through the back window)...up here at the OK border...
I put this out in case any of you folks happen to see it, or see someone selling some car stereo stuff (15 year old Nakamichi amps, old Pioneer HU, nice touchscreen display...mini-itx computer.
I figure they stole it to make it easier to steal about $1500 work of equipment from it...or it is on its way down to Mexico...
My only hope is that the Methheads end up in PMITA prison with their new roomate Bubba.
I got the truck back...but the stereo and computer are gone...lets see what the insurance folks do...probably give me a lollypop and a handshake.

That sucks, man. At least you got the truck back...
That should be a lesson for all of us...I've thought about insuring the stuff in my car before (not because it's that valuable, but mainly because of all the time I'd need to put in to build it up again if things were ever stolen), but I've never done anything much about it. I think I'm going to look into a supplemental policy this weekend.

Met some cool folks today. Sorry I had to leave early. I was able to get a starter, and was able to get use of a lift at a shop to install it. Great meeting everyone!

I had a great time meeting everyone down in Dallas. It's good to hear you got a new starter with no problems, LinuxRacr....Good to know there are other Mazdas with carpc's in the area, too.
Btw...a few of you mentioned different places where you purchase your components for good prices. After seeing how well your systems worked, I'm very interested in upgrading to a mini ITX with a Core 2 Duo, an M2 ATX, and probably a little more RAM.
Thanks again for all of your tips...trying to keep my head above water!

I'm surprised how effective sending a PM to the group was.

Also found out that it IS my M2-ATX that got screwed up with the PCI riser reversal theasco. To verify, I had to bring a spare ATX power supply down to the garage, and my serial port was working fine then. As a result, I ordered a new M2-ATX HV.
