Great meet everyone! I think we had like 8 or 9 people show up so it was cool.
Just to go back over a few things that were discussed. Install meet and a group buy for obd2 scan tools.
I guess an install meet is really going to depend on how many people are interested in attending and what they have going on. If it's a small group I'm sure we can do it at someones house and if it's somewhere larger I'm sure a park with plenty of shade should do the job. Feedback would be appreciated and we can go from there.
As far as obd tools go I think the obdpro cable would be a good option. If anyone has any other suggestions or anything just let me know. Their website has both the usb and serial versions listed for $84.99 so that's not too bad. I will email them and also their listed distributor to see what kind of discounts if any we can get.

Hey you guys, if you need a place to meet and work on you cars, I have a shop in Wylie. I have a car audio business and share a shop with a high performance business. I'vce been wanting to get into installing carputers to the general public, and I'd like to see what all of you have. I'll also be available for tech advice on the car side should you need it.
What do you think?

I'm putting together a simple system for a friend, is there a soundcard that either gives a powered output or the typical 3 sets of preouts for amps? All I see is single outputs. I seem to remember seeing a souncard that did it all somewhere.

I'm racking my brain and trying to find it but I know that Jan (RedGTIv6) knows of at least one. Your looking for one that outputs more than 1.5 volts I'm guessing ... I'd look up Professional Sound cards ...

I know Jan, the more I look into this the more I realize what a legend she is. I used to work with her husband years ago at CC. I know she's using the Alpine processor but it isn't available anymore. I checked out a piece from Zapco on Monte's suggestion and it seems like a good place to start other than the fact that it retails over $900. The search goes on.
