I'll be there. Plus hopefully I'll have a prototype of an I/O controler for you guys to check out. We're talkin' 16 A to D's, 24 outputs, 8 Inputs, and I'm setting up the software to do ghosting on existing buttons in on the dash. Hopefully it will be a dirt simple interface.

cool. I'd love to see that. That is something that I need. I tapped into my buttons and was going to go with a cheapo keyboard/gamepad controller, but I was having trouble isolating the buttons and that project has been put on hold for a while.

No super ghetto setups for the new car. a 7" should fit nicely where the stock radio goes.

As much as i'd love to have a new setup in the new car (just having cds again is lame), getting the car involves me having no monies.

Thanks!

As far as the car itself goes, it's a 2006 Passat, and it looks like this:

I am done with the Hammer & Sawzall but need a little more duct tape.

One of these days I will make it back to the meets. I just need to finish making room for the 37" Touchscreen

Hey nick The new car is awesome!!! You might even be able to get a 8.6" in there for about the same price as the 7" That extra 1 1/2 inches makes a difference IMO!

8.6" - maybe possible, I fit 8" and I had about 1/8" gap to the opening in dash (horizontally). I had to remove original case though.

That would be great if it was for a 37" (maybe something I should think about doing as long as I have the room now) But all of that is to replace the evaporator & heater core.
