Yeah, not all of us have 3.33 ghz processors and sata drives in our cars. It took forever on a p3 933 with a 4500 rpm pata drive (and 256mb ram). Thankfully wasn't 4 hours, but seeing as installing 7+gb of supreme commander on my home system took less than 10 minutes, it took forever.

Just givin ya a hard time there Nick, I really do need to update my home P.C. as it is OLD like from 2002 but still in the build state that it came. The sad part is the carpc is faster, for now.

lol.. i wasnt kidding. ig takes forever.. bt it has to compile all the maps.. there way compressed on the disk. but as far as geting it to work with rr and lsxvoid. if your using ig3 there shouldnt be really much to setup but a path or 2 in the rrconfig. if your using ig2.13 or something, i think its been covered in the void thread. the files are included but you might have to move something around. if you have any issues, ill give ya a hand at the meet.

The next meets the sunday of the 20th right? ill invite LS again. lol maybe hell make it to one of these.

Yeah, it's ig3, and i got it working, it was remarkably easy. just need to get xport3 loaded now, as the nema serial port emulator that delorme provides to make their recievers spit out nema data that looks like it should be able to duplex (actually triplex) the data doesn't seem to be working to well. Maybe I should just get a new receiver.

I remember my delorm reciever didnt want to play nice with IG3 at all. It would display status (I.E. speed and direction) on the main screen, or it would run the GPS but not both. So if it was displaying data on the main screen then I knew that IG wouldnt detect it when GPS was fired up, but if there was no data then there was no prob with GPS. I even had jason look at it with no luck, xport would recieve and process just wouldnt split. BUt works beautifuly with the BU-353.
So nick are you being spoiled with the screen yet?

I might be able to make it to the meet in the late late afternoon, we will be in springfield visiting some friends that weekend but coming home on sunday, not sure what time though. Ill have to find jeffs # and give a call when I get home to make sure you guys are still there, knowing that if there is light left you will be there but just to make sure. So might see yall the 20th.

Happy B-day Jason.

Bad news, I don't think I'm going to make it to the next meet...or maybe not even the one after that depending on the weekend . My good friends bought their first house and I need to return the favor and help them paint on the 19/20 and move them the the following weekend.

I hate all of you guys every time I talk to you guys I end up spending money . Bought a BU-353 and ig3 and rr now both work beautifully. And the giant screen is nice, everything's way big, just don't like the fact that there's a giant monitor bolted (literally) to my dash, that and I want touch screen now too .

Have you bought a Silabs USB radio tuner yet? Buy it...buy it NOW! Really has anyone used one yet? They are supposed to be the latest and greatest FM tuner for the car now.

I may or may not come this weekend. I think my painting plans are only for Sat, we will see.

Cool, hopefully I can check that out this weekend. I haven't really been interested in a radio tuner, but the fiance keeps bugging me because she wants her country music, and I refuse to put any on the carpc.
