Proposed CarPC Meet - Melbourne, Australia - March 18, 2007
G’day All,
Some of you will know that the proposed Mid-November 2006 meet was postponed a number of times, and then never eventuated. Even so, over the last few pages of that previous thread, we were exploring the possibility of staging the following Melbourne Meet.
Thanks to NiN^_^NiN who has proposed the following:
Date: Sunday, 18th March 2007
Time: 1pm
Where: Box Hill Park (on the other side of Paul Ave, Box Hill North)
Parking: On the left in front of the oval when u first turn in.
Maps: Map 1 or Map 2
At this stage the meet will go ahead (it's definitely on !!):
- If there’s enough interest given the “shortish” notice (Yes, with 10+ members, it looks like there's enough interest)
- A check with local sports club ensures availability (Anthony from Box Hill North Footy Club has given his consent)
A thorough search of these forums has identified over 80 Melbourne Members (who’ve been recently active in these forums). I have sent PM's to these members to advise of this event.
Definitely Attending (13)
tooch, NiN^_^NiN, Blipman, Long.1, Iceman_jkh, Jarrod, pcman, mrbean_phillip, VMS, jaxond24, M^ck^y, DJMickyG, ROG3RS
Possibly Attending (5)
feral, Holden__V8, vxcarpc, Headsex, zxhoon
Not Attending (5)
MrJamieR, CaveDog, MX5PC, Fox_Mulder, hakhawk
Let us know if you’re keen !!
Cheers,
Long.1
PS. Including these keys for anyone searching: Melbourne Melbournian Melb Melbournite Australia Aussie Aus AUD

I might come down if I don't have anything else on. I might see if I can get the pc up and running for the day.

Thanks for the PM Long.1, but unfortunately I am in Sydney all next weekend, and I fly back in at 4pm.
Would love to show you my system!
Keep me in the loop if the plan changes.

I had a very basic setup in my old car. My new car doesn't have anything CarPC in it, but I am still interested in coming. I think it would a great learning experience, and I wouldn't mind chatting to some people about a few things.
A friend of mine has a carpc setup, but I don't think he is a member of the forum, can he come if he is interested?

Fair enough Jaxond24,
I don't think anyone will mind if you bring a mate - especially if he has a CarPC. See you there.
Cheers,
Long.1
