Yeah, cuz Ames/Des Moines is only 6-7 hour drive to Chi (I was born in Dubuque).

Awww, come on, you can do des moines to chicago in like 5 assuming you miss chicago traffic (I have lots of family all over iowa).

Catch a ride with my sister. J/k. IF you press your luck and go about 80-85 you should be able to make in under 5, probably 4 hours if you push it. I have family in Des moines and that's about how long it takes me. Of course that is about $70 bucks in gas.  Make a mini vacation out of it. There is lots to do in Chicago.

I think they arepretty much done with construction as of now. Yesterday I only hit one construction site on 88 and it was only for .5-1 mile. Since they got done with the open road tooling there isnt much going on.
