G4 Install recommendations in Buena Park, CA

Anybody have any recommendations on where to get my unit installed for my '06 maxima? I just got my G4 today and I'm really excited! Can't wait to get everything installed!

Somewhere near SoCal (Buena Park, CA) would be great.

Thanks in advance!

I'm getting mine installed by a shop up in Orange as soon as it comes in, will let you know how it goes. What options did you get? If it wasn't for the reverse camera (and ridiculous work schedule) I would consider installing myself.

Is your install straightforward (factory double din) or custom? I got lucky and both cars have full double dins.

Speaking of installs, can anyone recommend a good place to order the mounting kit and wiring harness? I know Crutchfield carries them, just curious if anyone knows of cheaper sites.

Thanks.

I got the computer upgrades (100HDD and 1GB RAM). I also got the USB HUB, but using my own USB WIFI adapter.

I don't know where to start on installation, if I need to get any kits or whatnot. So I'd rather let a pro do it.

I'm on the east coast, so sorry no suggestions. But you would need a $20 kit, easy to find (even CC would have one for you) and a wiring harness. And if you car is double din then it would be much easier than you think, for your system as ordered. Although, you may want to reconsider your wifi, they seem to REALLY prefer if you stick within the program for hardware. Your choice, but you've been warned.

But if you are feeling unsure, then going with a pro is always the best. Hopefully someone in here will eventually throw you a lead, in the meantime there is always CC or BB. I know there are whole threads in here devoted to avoiding the chain electronic stores, but the Pasadena, MD Circuit City was very helpful...recommeding two pro installers

So I decided to go with "Audio Warehouse" after googling it. They're charging about $200 and it's a 1 day job. I'll let you know how it goes.

It's also not a regular install. I'm getting it installed on the top dash, replacing my currently existing digital display. The display needs to go to the bottom, where there's currently an empty storage.

So how did it go? My G4 should finally show up on Tuesday next week. Not to keen on the original place I had picked after talking to them a couple times. Looking for a new shop now.

It is a lot, unless it includes parts AND if those parts are espensive. I installed my G4 myself and cost me $109 for the harness (Onstar, etc) $20 for install Kit, and a few $$ for the antenna adapter. After all that, $200 would be around $50 for labor, CC charges $55 for a standard install...so who knows.

So after looking around at a few places, finally gave up on my initial idea of having it set up on the top. I just want it in my car at this point.

So it'll come out to $110 for parts ($60) and labor($50). Then rear cam ($110) + labor($50) = $160.

Total comes to $280. I'll think about that initial set up I wanted later

Hehe... I actually moved to Orange County from Houston. If installs were the only thing that was majorly more expensive than Houston we would be really well off

I got my installs scheduled for next Sunday. 450 for labor and install parts for 2 G4's with camera, obd, new speakers, and alarm.

Of course, still waiting for my G4 to show up, but should be here safely by end of week
