Porblems with G4 screen

Take a look at this picture. Have you had this sort of problem on your G4 screen? If i point the mouse pointer on a dark area, it will light up a stripe vertically on the screen. You can aslo see the stripes fromm a window.

Is there a way to fix this, or do i need a replacement?

Yes, this seems to be the norm for G4.

I'm afraid the answer to both questions is "no"...

I was afraid somebody would say that. Is dead pixels a problem too? I've got 5-7 of them.

I think you will forget about it soon just as I did. I don't consider this a real problem. It gets really annoying only when you move the cursor arrow to the very bottom of the screen which I don't normally do (especially after I moved my taskbar to the side of the screen to make the remaining workspace more square).

As for the window borders, try setting Windows colors to something with less contrast. I am using default XP color scheme and I don't see any traces at all.

Not for me - I did not search for them explicitly and I don't see any in normal usage.
