Will there be two versions at release (like the T3)? One with just the unit and one with software loaded up? There is a $1,000 price difference between the two T3s and that's a lot of $$.

The two options for the T3 were only offered as a means to clear the inventory. That's something that has just happened in the past few days and is not something that will be offered for the G4.
The move on the T3s was a clerance sale.

I am trying to find user reviews for the T3. I have found plenty of questions and comments on it, but I can't find actual reviews from people who own it. Can you direct me to a post that would help me? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any reviews off the top of my head.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this... first post, I really didn't want to start a thread.
I'm very much not carputer-inclined, so I'm eager to purchase an AIO like the G4. I spend enough time in my car for work that it's justifiable. My question is: to get full functionality, what else do I need to buy? Like, the unit comes with some equipment, obviously, but will I need to purchase separate mic hardware to make BT phone calls work? A back up cam is supported, but I purchase that separately as well, correct? So, of the offered features, which ones will I need to purchase separate hardware to utilize?
Also, can I change harddrives/add an additional external harddrive for music storage?
And finally, anyone know a good place in Chicago to get something like this installed?
Man, this looks fine as hell...

You will need to purchase all modules seperately.
A BT mic and BT dongle will need to be purchased for BT support.
An XM radio reciever and antenn, along with the converter cable will be needed for XM support.
A back-up camera will need to be purchased for back-up camera support.
If you want to hook up to an amplifier, chances are you will need a USB sound card to do so.
Regarding changing hard drives. I'm sure it's possible, but it will void any warranty the unit has as you will have to take apart the unit to get to it.
An external hard drive is feasable as far as I know.

Question of the day. How many USB devices will this G4 be able to run simultaneously before the bus becomes unstable and the devices become flakey? It's been been my experience in supporting x86 and MS for more the a decade that usb, although good in theory, is rarley a solid performer.
Am I going to be disappointed to find that I need to reboot this thing all the time because I want it to run 5 or 6 usb devices and they keep crapping out?
Also it looks like Im going to need a Power Supply just to power a USB hub.

I have had a USB keyboard, WiFi network card, XM Radio adapter, USB sound card, USB bluetooth dongle and USB Mouse, with a USB hub on the G4 without a problem.

Yes, it will be comparable to the T3. We're aiming to release it at $2200.

HOw you guys said it is 1st the functionality of a HU and 2 a pc. Does the G4 have like a HU interface as well? Like when you are not using the pc, can you switch to HU mode? Can you tune bass/treble and balance like a HU. Also in HU mode, is thier a radio mode available or is it just a cd?
