Transflective + WRX Bolt-In

I called mp3car.com sales to inquire about several items. One of my questions was if I decided to purchase the 7" transflective display and the WRX bolt-in kit, could they mount the screen. I was advised to not purchase this combination as the transflective display is thicker (then the stock) and may be damaged by installing it in the bolt in kit...

Will a solution be forthcoming? Either a modification to the bold in kit to accommodate the thicker screen, or a thinner transflective screen? Advice and suggestions please.

Thank you

PS... I'm still not sure how the transflective screen fits back in to the original casing but not in to the aftermarket kit.

Mechatroniks said he has done a few of these with no issues.
It may be damaged and no one, including the customer, wants to deal with replacing a damaged $680 lcd. Who wants to swallow the $680 cost? The customer should assume responsibility once the transflective screen gets taken out of the housing.

I'm going this route also.. waiting for my lcd now.

I just ordered my 7" sunlight readable. (Says in stock now)
I have the Black bezal from Mechtronics.
Going to try after testing the LCD stock for 3 months. (Make sure it's not defective first and wait for warranty to run out before I take it apart)

Let me know how it goes.

All this makes no sense to me. Lots of us take apart the non-transflective screens and have no problems. So whats the big deal the gap between the kit and the main chassis seems deep. Make a bigger bracket to hold the LCD panel to the screen. I bet I could make it work safely...

actually I have only since two on mp3car.com.....

Do you think the xenarc screen will fit into the WRX kit. Just the LCD panel? I could make the controller board mount differently. Or is the frame to small for the panel.
