Has mp3Car looked into Cheetah radar products?

Hi guys, new member here, been lurking for ages though.

I saw a post a few days ago on radar detector interfaces, and how there really is no OEM/aftermarket solution for making a radar detector interact with carPCs. The few available are homebrews and not well supported in frontends.

Someone mentioned Speed Cheetah and their custom line of products designed to integrate radar detectors with their custom rear view mirror/displays. I was browsing around on their site and found this OEM page:

http://www.speedcheetah.com/scshop/s...y=1&language=1

It looks like they are looking for carPC companies to allow most of the popular radar detectors (not just the V1 like current solutions) to interact with a carPC via Bluetooth. It looks like they have the hardware availabe and are looking for software partners to integrate Cheetah support into their frontends.

This sounds like a match made in heaven for mp3car. CarPC/radar detector integration is one of my favorite ideas for my next install and it'd be awesome if I could purchase a Bluetooth Cheetah box for an Escort SRX plus a StreetDeck module for the PC.

Just an FYI in case no one's looked into it.

Thanks for the suggestion, no we have not looked into this product or considered this concept. I will put this on the list for next week to discuss, and see if this product makes sense.

You will probably spend AT LEAST 2x what you initially budget for your CarPC Project!
