Now it looks like there aren't even 8" LED backlit ones, which I was looking for. What the heck, mp3car?

INH, What's up man?

The 809GL has an LED backlight

We had decided not to sell 8" transflectives as the demand has historically been really low.

wow..so if I needed one you guys know where I could get it? I have an old version but if I changed cars..it would be a pain to un-mode it..and 7" is too small if you have 8" real eastate on the dash

We cannot make just one monitor unfortunately, however clearly the current transflective offering is not enough.

We are working on providing a few options for a few monitors, some options far less expensive, so that everyone can have a transflective monitor if they would like one. These options should be available in the coming month.

Ahh now you sparked my interest. Less expensive + transreflective in the same sentence?
Perfect.

I think you will be happy. We are working at it, there needs to be a good solution out there - I should have news soon, as in less than one month - I am waiting on someone.

Clearly our transflectives are not in everyone's price range, but for the particular product, we do not have much room. So, time to offer something else.

Just patiently letting you know that I'm keeping an eye on this thread, concerning the future update you had mentioned. I'm interested.

That is great - things are moving along and I will be putting out some information within the next two weeks.

Oh - and both 8" wide screen and regular, looks like no 7" though at the moment.
