Do you have a backup camera hooked up to the system? If so, does this device handle it with a separate input triggered by a reverse wire or is it software driven?

Backup cameras would probably be best exectued with a software switch.

That is the Azentec model, great Michigan based company. I've had my hand on the Azentec gps mirror also, quite impressive. From the looks of the hardware I see a very well built, stocky unit. Azentek has not pulled them out of production, it's more of an accounting issue, meaning the demand has to be there in order to fund further operations. So if I was not closing on a new house tomorrow i'd snatch one of these up.

Agreed, I was told by Azentek that they had financing set up for production of the Atlas but that fell through once the economy went WAYYY south. Yes I do this this product will reach full production at some point but there is absolutely no knowing when they might be. I just hope that its not to far down the road because then a major redesign will be required because of new hardware.

For anyone who has a Guru..... What front end are you using? I have installed Centrafuse and everything works perfectly with the exception of the radio tuner. I cannot find a pre-installed device that works with this radio. Any suggestions?

Any of you that have this Guru ever run into serious audio noise issues? I have the unit on my test bench and all I get is audio noise whether I use the amplified or pre-outs for audio. Any suggestions?

Have you gone into the volume controls and muted the FM radio? Can't remember if its under the playback or recording. I had terrible background noise caused by the internal radio. Mute the FM radio under the volume controls and it would disppear.

Nice find Jason. That worked perfectly. Now I can understand why others purchase HD radio, becuase the internal radio is horrible.

Do you remember how your Guru handled startup and shutdown? Currently my PC will startup with the 12V ACC power but wil not shut down. Any suggestions?

I recently purchased and installed Directed HD Car Connect. I cannot get this configured correctly with Centrafuse. I have the device hooked up to the PC with Mitch's HD radio cable to a serial to USB cable. Have any of you successfully got HD radio to work with this device, if so what do you recommend?

Update: I got the HD radio working correctly, it was a Centrafuse issue and how the buffer worked.

I am having an issue with the startup/shutdown of the unit. Ill start by saying that this works perfectly, the unit starts up when the ignition is turned to ACC or RUN and the unit shuts down when the ignition is turned to the OFF position.

My issue is when I have the unit turned on in the ACC position within the car started. When I start the car with the unit already running the voltage drop makes the unit shut down as it I turned the ignition to OFF. It is not that the power has completely been dropped and the PC goes into a hard shut down, just that the software for this units senses a drop in ACC line voltage.

Any suggestions? Is there anything I can buy that will keep the ACC line voltage from dropping while cracking the engine?

I would run the power from an ignition source. Ignition source lines are switched but stay live when the starter cranks.

This is run from the ignition source line. I have a 2007 Yukon Denali so I needed to get an integration wiring kit which has the ignition line. For some reason this line is dropped when the starter cranks.

I'm wondering if there is some type of electronics that you can put inline with this wire that will keep the 12V line active for the starter crank time.

if it shuts off during start its an ACC line not Ignition. I would just run 8 gauge from the battery to the power supply. Hot all the time and delivers high amperage. My truck pc easily survives a crank without any protest.

Does anyone know if there is a serial port header within this unit? I am currently using a USB to serial port adapter with HD radio in Centrafuse and it is horrible. It takes forever for windows to notice the serial port upon hibernation wake up.
