HELLO guys I'm about to install my car pc, and I want to install xm satelite radio on my car too using RR as my front end. Can you guys tell me what's the diference between the XM DIRECT UNIVERSAL TURNER/Mp3Car USB adapter for XM Direct.

I really want to know a little about the instalation of each on, and wich one work better with road runner. I have allready a satelite radio reciever that I get fron b3stboy if that helps.

You need the XM direct box to receive the XM signal with any solution you choose.(The adapters do not work with other receivers). Both solutions will work equally well with Roadrunner. The USB adapter is used in lieu of a home made cable solution discussed here in the forums. It is how the data is sent to your PC. I and several others here use the home made solution that connect to a com port on your PC with no problems. The MP3car solution is well spoken of as well and goes directly to USB. I hope this helps and if it is not accurate please correct me.

So it I buy the XM DIRECT UNIVERSAL TURNER I can make it work with this device that I have allready or do I need something else. I'm sorry I just have not figure it out how to set up and what do I reallu need to make the xm work with the carputer.

You buy the USB adapter to make it work with the computer. However, you have to have a front end that can utilize the driver for it.

So what u're saying it's that I need to buy both devices to make it work with the carputer the DIRECT UNIVERSAL TURNER (wich it the one that recieve the xm signal) and the Mp3Car USB adapter for XM Direct (the one that make it able work with the carputer?

Yes. You need both devices or you make your own cable like some have done here on the forums.
