Question to all users
I'm asking me one question: why lot of people is testing NMC (i see this with the thread views) and NO ONE (only "known" users like RoyN, JC-S60, Gyro, CDRSkull...thanks to them and to all that i forgot to mention) is posting anything ?
I really want to have more feedbacks, reviews, complaints, bugs and also all you want to say ! I NEED this to progress in the right way.
I need to know all you think of NMC, why you won't (or will) use it, why you want some new functions, what's your priorities...
This cannot be made without having differents feedbacks (other than the common users).
So i please you to help me developp the right way.. say me all you think, no matter of if it's positive or negative.
By the way, if you say me that all is ok, i will be just happy and will then developp new things
I want to make NMC the best carPC software, and i think the best carPC software is a software that all users can use without making concessions.
Sometimes i'm just really thinking i'm the only one here... and i think developping an application is bidirectionnal: i code, you say what's up, i'm happy, you're happy.
Thanks for reading this bad written text

Well I think that you've done a very good work on NCM. Posting a comment isn't easy because it's so customizable that I've all that I've ever wanted....I need time to learn how to customize NMC on my needs (skinning & c.).
I can say that I've encoutered some strange behaviour on alpha 1 (need to read more threads on D3Frontend) and the default skin needs too much attention when changing volume due to small and center-placed buttons (I can solve this with a skin).
I would like a embedded gamma control feature ...
That's all I can write about NMC, you'd feel very proud of your work.

I was testing it.
No offense, but I think it has more bugs than an alpha version of windows.

DL'ing now. Don't have a carPC yet but I am trying out all the front ends to see which one I like best. Will play with it for a while and let you know.
Febs: Any chance for a brushed Metal skin for NMC?

Thanks
As i said, the next versions (before Beta 1) are dedicated to debugging. I'll not add any new functions for now (lots of things to test with all this new options)

After playing for a few minutes, it crashed twice. Both happened when in the music section - the first happened when I clicked to go to video. The second happened when I clicked to go to the filelist.
Also, is the Audi logo default?
Seems like a nice setup so far, and I will play more when I have time. In the mean time, keep up the good work and thanks for putting your time and hard work into a program for us to use!!

@netsuo
sorry,
but i found for the moment no larger errors.
ok, I used nmc also only since a few weeks.... - I am always still inspired - for the moment is the pioneer skin installed on my carputer.
for the future one would be dvd support, a radio function (dlink, etc..) and perhaps a free speech mechanism for mobile phone not badly.
but those are only suggestions on away to the best carpc software. I dont know that all this can be so simply integrated ... You are the developer!
Thanks for reading this bad written text, too! ;-)

The logo is just in the skin's folder: main_logo.jpg (or PNG, GIF BMP)

Just for those who think that NMC is sooo bugged, think just of this: if i post a version, it's that it's fully working (for the main features..) on MY system.
So if anyone find a large bug (like NMC crashing while playing music, or NMC crashing while changing from a module to another), it why i have'nt seen the bug on my test system (XP PRO SP2 based...) and so i need your help to let me know WHERE i must debug.
It's not sayin' that NMC is bugfree on my station, but i will never post a version here if there's not working FOR THE MAIN FEATURES on my system.
I CAN debug all myself (by using different windows version, different PC's, ..), but i prefer sharing a Alpha version with you and get feedbacks. This way i have more time to progress.

Working on it! (You can thank my wifey for that ) But it will be 848x480 though.
@netsuo,
Downloaded and playing with it at the moment. What great improvements! Thanks for listening to us! Featurewise, I am still hoping for "add folder recursive" function in file list and day/night function. *cross fingers* Other than that, I'm only waiting for equalizer and fm radio modules, and I will be a happy puppy
Now let me play around some more!
