ya i noticed that hardly any frontends support radio, guess thats just cus of the software for them. This is the only thing holding me back from completly removing my headunit from the car. Once there is a way to get radio im set.

on a side note, i have a computer running mediacenter 2005 with a dual tv tunner and radio (WinTV-PVR-500MCE), and mediacenter controls the radio. I originaly had WinTV-PVR-150MCE single tv tunner and radio.

this card might be easyer to control from neo

Tv is easy as it is a standard windows driver which can be accessed like WMP in a frontend but the FM part is all custom hardware and all do different things for different cards so its not a standard driver.

i know what your saying, but im saying that windows media center 2005 supports that card for radio and does not use its software, it uses mediacenter to control the radio, once you install the drivers for it.

Thats cause microsoft would of had a deal with them to share the code needed to control the radio and in return they get sales cause Media Centre supports them

Some more info would have to be looked up on this type of chip it uses for the radio there might be code out that support it.

i guess i could run mediacenter and neo, and just use mediacenter for radio, as i dont know if there is a sdk or any other info documented for the cards, now one thing to look at would be some linux pvr software that supports radio, most of that stuff is open source.
