I have that problem, but reverted back to the old version. I'll just wait for release 6 this weekend. What else is coming in v6??

it remembers user prefs. it is resolution independent (to an extent) support for any album art that finder can display (includes the non-embedded art downloaded through itunes)
expanded key binding support for all screens. thats pretty much it.

not alot of features but it was quite a bit of work (or rework in the case of album art I completely rewrote that)

also it not "version 6" its "release 6" its not even version 1 yet (in my eyes)

looks like release 6 will also incorporate experimental scroll as you drag (dragging in the table view acts exactly as if you were dragging the scroll nib in a vertical scrollbar) which has been a much requested feature. hope you all find it satisfactory

the only builds that ever ran under 10.4 were incapable of doing much. I don't think any of them could even play music they were just posted to show proof of concept. I don't myself have any of those but they may still exist in threads on this board...

NBB uses far too many and plans on using even more technology that is leopard only.

quicklook, coverflow, and core animation are the big three reasons why it will never be built for 10.4

I downloaded it. Ran it. It brings up a pretty interface that does nothing. I click on things and nothing happens. I can bring up setting and I can shut it down. Thats it.

could you please post a screenshot of it running?

It ought to look like this screenshot where the dark buttons are inactive (because they have not yet been developed) and the 3 bright icons should bring up interfaces for radio, video, and music respectively. music is of course the most polished, but nothing is complete yet.

note that you may have to rotate the dial (click and drag, use up/down, or use the apple remote) in order to bring the active modules within view, but you can customize the position of any module

Ah, all my buttons are dark. Trying it on a Macbook Pro running leopard with all updates.

Got it. Not bad.

I currently use streetdeck which I find to be the easiest to use out there of all the ones I tried. Road Runner looked like it could be good, but too much like using Linux (i have to build stuff or figure out how it works).

I would love to see something that had GPS native for mac. Specially if it has easy to use interface for address lookup.

I hit randomize on my entire music collection and I use GPS constantly so good GPS is more important to me then anything.

Keep it up.

ok....mine is working good so far on my macbook....cool stuff.

will you be having the "pictures" option up amnd running in the future? it's bright, but does nothing at the moment. I am guessing all of those other features are coming....

i like it!!! thanks!

when i get the mac moni in car i will most likely be using this as my front. others either are too basic, or don't show the artwork.

ONE thing that would be nice. a shuffle button that can play ALL songs like "shuffle songs" on the iPod. I would like that right on the menu bar easy to get to. that way i can just hit shuffle and let it play.

sorry for the lateness of this reply. I hadn't noticed a new post in this thread.

while there is no button for that specifically, if you go into the music module options and set the shuffle option you can then filter your library by song and just play one and a randomized list of every song in your library will generated.

yes eventually I, or somebody else, will get around to it. the photos button shouldn't be enabled, however... are you sure you are not referring to the video module? That does work, you just have to have videos in your itunes library.
