seems that there should be a way to manually configure such things in the shuttleXpress software... regardless NBB is the frontmost application when it is running. It has to be in order to receive key events in the first place (unless you are using a proxy app)

is there a 3rd party software that you can use to configure your controller?

most of NBBs keys should function the same as front row, but how about I make the keys customizable. I can easily make them editable in the prefs file, but you will need a plist editor (free on the leopard install disk) to edit the key bindings

sorry! I have thought about it. It is just too much work for little gain. NBB uses alot f leopard only features. especially after release 6. album art for instance is completely dependent on leopards quick look framework...

hi again.....

i have been doing a test run for a period... and to be frank i really hate the neon collors... and find the layout a little boring ...and please get rid of the volume bar... tjeck this out for insp. http://micoach.samsungmobile.com/micoach/index.html

if you could make it like this or at least black, gray and white optional it would rock....

like what you are doing fro the mac com. its by far more stable os and it would suit me just fine if we got the same option as in road runner... and a fully functional NAV system

let me know if you need some help in any way.....

when you say you hate the color have you tried changing the color in the prefs? it has quite a wide range of colors...

as for the colors of the background and such options for changing them will come in the future. If one was inclined to they could manually edit the pictures in the app bundle to be whatever color they wanted or even replace them outright.

I will not get rid of the volume bar but it is still a work in progress. why would you want the volume bar gone?

Could you give me a better idea of what you mean by the layout is boring? remember that this is intended to run on low resolution screens and the scaling to higher res is not 100% so it looks different. try it on 800x600 and see if that helps any...

when you say pref you mean the scroling bar? ...maybe like the link i send above or give it a dusty white apple look as an option...im not really found of the neon stuck in the 80' look ;-) ok its a matter of taste...it would be a nice feature if the scroll bar for the volume could fade away like on leopard and come to light ad a fingerprint?

never the less its gonna be a killer app if you continue the good work..

how is the progress with the movie section...could you make a function like this

Are you asking for more options for the button color? like white? I might could do that down the road. There are alot of things out in front tho.

I think I like your suggestion about the volume bar. not sure. either way Its another one of those things that will have to wait.

work on the movie player is coming along. last night i finished version 1 of the custom control bezel.

as for your suggestion. yes I think when you are browsing by movie i will display the artwork and info on the right hand side

hey this is just a suggestion, but i noticed that the scrolling in NBB would be a little bit easier if you could swipe your finger on the screen and the list moves without having to hold it. just so you understand what im talking about check the link out

have you tried the option called "scroll while dragging" option? its not near as slick as the iphones or that one, not by a long shot. but its the best I have been able to do myself, tho I imagine it doesn't work very well on large lists... maybe sometime after I finish the XM module and NBB is at 1.0 i will look deeper into it. believe me I want that feature as much as all of you ;-)

if any of you have some pointers or some examples of how to do that throw them my way. I can't believe that the iPhone hasn't created a torrent of people trying to mimic that behavior in os x... really frustrating considering the iphone RUNS os x.

in the meantime release 9 is out and has a virtual keyboard that may help alleviate some scrolling headaches. if for no other reason then the ability to 'quick search' by typing the beginning letter of what you want

Would there be anyway of emdedding iguidance run through fusion or somthing as the navigation option for NBB? It seems thats what most people are using and you said you have no idea where to start with navigation.

i don't see how since that won't be running in OS X maybe if it ran through crossover or darwine i could, but I don't know for sure. I could set you up with a navigation module that executes an apple script to bring fusion to the front and maybe reposition and resize the fusion window to take up the entire screen except for a strip somewhere so you could "exit"

@maded - re you asking for white buttons or a white bg?

Yeah, that would be great!!! Just something linked to the navigation button for now until something else better comes along that would launch iguidance using fusion. Then like you said have a small strip that would have a button to either completly close it and another button that would just take you back to NBB. Then be able to switch back to iguidance by just hitting the nav button again.
