I heart you. I've played around with nbb, could be pretty sweet (just can't find a color scheme that works with my audi interior...)

I plan to add more options for tweaking the color somewhere between v 1.0 and 2.0. plan to add theme support too.

the problem with multi colored icons like the iphone ones is that they will look all messed up with the coloring adjustments applied to them. I suppose I will have to make a flag to allow the theme engine to disregard flagged buttons.

You know if you really want iphone like icons you can always root around in the bundle and replace the icon.png files in each respective modules resource folder.

yes sir there are a couple of ways. in the preferences check the arrangeable interface option, and you can drag and drop modules from one slot to another. you can toggle that same behavior by clicking and holding on the dial for 2 seconds (without rotating it obviously). once you have the modules arranged the way you like simply click the done arranging button. you can arrange the music players filters the same way too.

Here's a low priority request: I'd like to see the ability to view a back-up camera. I installed one and hooked it up to a secondary input on my Xenarc, but it's a pain switching inputs (the time it takes and the loss of audio when the input switches). I think I'd rather have it connected to the Mac.

Ideally I would have some usb object that would detect the vehicle is in reverse and switch to the Camera application/module.

Thanks!

Sean

I only have two major gripes with NBB, both are in the music module. 1)Can you add a scroll bar to the module so you can use the scroll bar to scroll through artist/album/song ect. 2)make an option to listen to all albums of a particular artist.

thanks
brett

1. well see what happens with the skinning engine I'm working on. If you don't want to wait you can add them your self by installing interface builder off the leopard install dvd. Once installed you can drill down to the modules folder and open the music module NIB file. If you can't figure it out from there you can PM me and I'll walk you through it.

2. you can already do this by double clicking an artist. Double clicking anything will play everything below that item.

I don't see this option but it would be very nice. In the music module you should add a button for 'Now Playing' on the tree view of all your albums. I find that when you are int eh now playing window then switch back to the list of your library you can't get back to the now playing screen, except by clicking on the song playing, which restarts the song. This would also be nice if you are listening to an entire artist/album and not have to open all the sub directories to get back to the song playing, only to have it restart.

I understand that frustration. In the current release it is possible to get back to the now playing screen, but only by going to the main screen then going back into the music module.

It is planned to have a marquee type thing at the top of the browser screen that you could click to get to the now playing screen. It will be in the final 1.0 build.

NBB is freakin' sweet so far! I can't wait for more..On another note, my wife walked in while NBB was up and said, "Ooo, that's pretty...What is it?" Not sure it that's the reaction you're looking for, but graphically the app IS pretty awesome so far!

I'll be sure to forward that on to the graphic designer! Honestly not many people seem to like its look, but the next major release will extend the users ability to customize the look and feel. I'll probably start with more color changing options and some brightness controls, and probably allow for users choice for font and the like.

I'm glad you like it; it makes working on this project that much easier.
