Yes! I'll check the console on my way to work tomorrow (it's finally installed in the car).

Thanks!

Neon,

that helps a little. To me that says I am doing something wrong when trying to acquire the audio line in...

Does it crash when you simply open the radio module? If so then I am most likely on the money. It seems that the line in on the mini may not be identified the same way as on my mac book pro.

For future reference the console out put im talking about is found in the console app "console messages" section you should see out put similar to this if you do not have your radio attached:

Sent the Console messages via this boards email, they should go from about 6:57 to 7:13 am 3 Jul, it's a pretty long list.

If I recall correctly I was trying to access XM but the stations didn't show up, I went to Music instead and Neon crashed when I clicked on a song to play. This happened twice today. This evening Neon wouldn't see my XM, but I now have it hooked up via a hub that get's turned off (vice connected directly to the Mac which sleeps) when the car is off.

Thanks,

Sean

The timeline exhibits a bug for me, where everything is good from 0:00 to 0:30, then the time display (but not the scroller thumb) jumps to 1:30, then continues to 1:59, at which time the display returns to 1:00 and continues properly from there on. This has been going on for several versions, but I just now remembered to post it. I'm using RC 2, I believe.

The cause was a simple rounding error (30/60=0.5). i have now corrected the issue and it shouldn't be a problem when the next build is released. Thank you for reporting that I hadn't noticed that before and I'm certain it has been there from the beginning.

Using RC 4 that I recently downloaded, the colored bar that is the background for the music controls no longer reaches all the way across the bottom. It stops short of the visualizer button. The corner is rounded correctly, but ends after the forward control button.

I am unable to duplicate that but my lowest resolution is 800x500... does this happen every time or will a quit and relaunch fix it most of the time?

update: that won't be able to happen after the the next build. The buttons are all supposed to be sub-views of the control bar, but the Nib was improperly setup. that doesn't mean that whatever problem you are having will be solved, however. it only means that the buttons are bound to the control view so if it is somehow being scaled then the buttons will be scaled with it...

A quit and subsequent launch did not change the behavior. However, the program later crashed (I'll try to remember to grab a crash dump) and when I re-launched the program things were back to normal. I have not quit and restarted since then, so I don't know if the change will be persistent. My normal resolution is 800x480.

The control button background issue continues to crop up for me. I was working with some other stuff tonight and went through numerous launch/quit cycles with NBB and could not identify a pattern that could help you debug. It does not occur on every launch, every other launch, or any other pattern I could identify. Sometimes it would happen twice in a row, other times I couldn't get it to show up after several tries. ???

On a different note, I'm using a Griffin PowerMate to switch Spaces between NBB in Space 1 and VMWare Fusion running Garmin Mobile PC in Space 2. Sometimes when switching back to Space 1, the Playlist screen appears frontmost, but without the Home or Options buttons. At other times when the Playlist panel is frontmost, I go to the Home screen and tap the Music button and it returns to the Now Playing screen, but when the Home button is missing I can't do that. Cycling through Finder then back to NBB with Command-Tab usually is required to bring the Now Playing screen back in that instance.

Look forward to trying your latest update.

hmmmm. I will definitely need crash and console logs to figure this out since I can't seem to be able to duplicate it.

for anyone interested if you are ever having trouble with the current release there is an archive of most prior releases here

try out RC 5 and see if it fixes anything

So far I have not had the issue recur. If it does I'll snap a screen shot and grab the Console.

RC 6 is looking pretty good, but I have encountered one issue: At the beginning of each song, the volume is reset to 100%. This happens both when the songs play from one to another and when the forward control is used.

I thought you were crazy cuz I knew this was an issue with RC5 but I fixed it in 6... then I downloaded 6 and you are right. I am uploading a new build of RC 6 to see if maybe I just pushed the wrong file.

Ok uploaded and checked it. It works now, don't know what happened, just go dl it.

Using most current download of RC 6. The control button color glitch happened again. Check the screen shot.

Also, sometimes when NBB wakes from sleep, I get no audio. Controls and screens function fine, but no sound. I have to quit and relaunch to get the audio back.
