I posted the final 1.1 build on the site.
The changes from the last beta... well its been awhile and i don't exactly remember all of what i had done. 2 things I do recall: preferences have been tweaked and the scroll as you drag had a major update. Im sure there was more but I never kept track from the last time I worked on it. let me know if there are any problems, I'm sure I can fix them promptly.
anyhow I'm still quite busy with my 2 jobs and other things so I still don't have the time I used to to work on this, but I will be releasing a minor update to the radio module cod e hopefully tomorrow. It wont be much. probably just mess with the table header and finish the signal strength indicator...
P.S. I know the info.plist file technically reports the build as beta 5 but by the time I remembered I had already built the dmg and was too lazy to do it again. the info page in the prefs correctly reports it as 1.1 final tho.

hooray for surprises: 1.2 beta 1
keep in mind that this is a BETA and there are many known issues, and the new features aren't finalized. the updated interface graphics HAVE NOT been done yet.
surprise number one can be found in the app preferences. (should be page 4 on 800px wide res)
surprise number 2 can be found in the top right corner of the music module browser.
aside from that there are several bug fixes and under the hood improvements, but there is much left to do.
one more thing. you will have to give the music module longer to load than before; I can speed up the loading and use less memory at a performance cost for certain operations. I'll be back to discuss it later. thank you
EDIT: please note that I will be replacing the tables used in the various preference windows for a new control class I have been developing that hopefully will resemble the "picker" control in the iPhone SDK. so that will make it easier to use/better looking when that is done

sorry about that...
since I posted a broken app I figured i would make it up to you by adding another new feature before reposting.
the visualizer can now be changed from the visualizer controls at the bottom of the visualizer window.
please note, however, that the selected visualizer is no longer saved between app launches. working on it.

I thought I had this program working on a PPC mac mini awhile ago. thought I'd try it on an intel, but won't work. What are the system specs again?

love this frond end man. I dont have a carputer setup yet but this is the most stable and easiest to use on my intel macbook (10.5.4) testing stuff out...keep up the good work!!! and your updates are SO easy to download, no external sites and all...Thanks for that as well.
I appreciate you not giving up on this. Mac front ends can be just as good!
the music and some other modules DO take some time to load up...I know my fans kick in now while it loads. Still worth the wait though!
EDIT: The last NBB i used was the one you could customize the colors....pre 1.0 I think. Wow a lot is added..coverflow is cool, the scrolling playing song is cool, the visualizers, shuffle button, all of it. really coming along. Time to get my touchscreen adn mac mini, this front end is exactly what I want!

Haven't seen any action here in several months and I haven't gotten any response when I've PMed NeonDev. Don't know what's going on. Hope he comes back.

I thought I read somewhere that he made it open source and he was not going to be working on it any more.

He went open source shortly after Ice3 was released and if you check that out you will kinda know why. I did like this interface also but I can understand why he did what he did.

Another one bites the dust.
I truly, honestly, 100% believe there will NEVER be a fully fledged OSX equivalent of a decent Front End.
