Kenwwod DDX 7017

Hey everybody . I have a kenwood ddx 7017 6.5 touchscreen DVD player and was thinking of using one of the avi connectors as my connection to a car pc {yellow cable for video to vga or dvi connector } . Does anybody know how to go about it or whether its been done before ? I would really appreciate your advice .

yes it has been done before. is it the best idea? no--the composite input resolution is too low to clearly read smaller text on the screen, and there is no easy way to incorperate a touch screen, and still keep the features of the hu.

it can be done using a keyboard/space navigator, but IMO, not as easy to use as a touch screen
