Looking for a 2nd opinion on my setup

Ok guys I've been reading the forums for a while and here's what I've come up with as a tentative list.... now I'm just looking for a 2nd opinion from you pros and then it should be off to the races!

Lilliput Touchscreen
M2-ATX PS
DFI K8M800-MLVF Socket 754 (microATX) VIA K8M800 w/ DDR400
AMD Sempron 64 2600+ / 1.60GHz
Seagate 80GB (SATA)
Crucial DDR400 512 MB RAM
Panasonic UJ-85J-B DVD/CD ROM (I will need an adapter to connect this)

What I'm wondering (before I complete the purchace of all this stuff ) is whether or not the M2-ATX PS will be able to power all of this stuff? I'm a little bit unsure about how to calculate all this stuff before actually committing to the purchase.

Thanks a lot guys,

- Tam -

You might want to search in the M2-ATX area for more detailed info on how much power it can actually put out.

Look at the power FAQ and you will find some links to power calculators.

I can tell you now you are going to pull too much and blow the M2. And when an M2 goes, it takes hostages with it usually the mobo/cpu combo. Either downgrade the CPU to a mobile version (via or mobile amd, or pentium m, or duo core).

You chose a SATA drive. SATA has horrible connectors. In a desktop they suck, in a car environment they suck harder. They don't lock, or mate well. So it will wiggle loose as everything in a car does, and who knows what will happen. IDE is a good format, and you wont see any gain with SATA over IDE.
