Ive been reading in here for a while now. suggestions im looking for are on deck amp and speaker selection.

I am going to try and mount a display where my current stereo is and put a mini itx computer behind it. im going to hack into the onstar antennas for cell boost and gps antenna.

this is what i have so far. more will come later as im posting at work.

Sounds like you have a good start. I can't help you with the amp/speaker selection. I use stock speakers and onboard sound.

You will get some good help, but I am not sure how many will look in a worklog thread for suggestions about Car Audio.

You never found that link, did you? Why? It's hard to find in the NavBar across the top of the forums, amongst a lot of other crap.

TELL MP3CAR YOU WANT A LINK TO THE FAQ IN A MORE OBVIOUS, NOTICABLE LOCATION HERE.

gen-orion,
I too have an 07 saturn vue and plan on installing a system. If you find any documentation on how to take this car apart, let me know. wiring diagrams shouldnt be too hard to come by, but the dash isnt exactly self explanatory.

got the dash apart. wasnt too bad. if you want directions let me know. basically, take shifter bezel off (pull from front then release 3 tabs on rear) then take out 4 screws holding the tray in. entire center dash comes off with climate controls. (4 clips - on on each side near radio and 2 on top in back.)
hope this helps. You may not even plan on taking your dash apart...

Great to find two other VUE owners. I just bought a 2007 last week. I've already taken the dash off to take a look around and hope to order a G4 when they come back in stock. Have either of you figured out the car's wiring yet? I'm still looking. I also want to tap into the factory GPS but haven't find the right way yet.

Ordered the G4 today, hopefully they'll have enough in stock this time around. Any other GM (Saturn, etc) figure how to tap into the OnStar GPS?

I already posted this in another thread, but thought it was worth connecting the dots here too.
All I needed was a short male MCX to male MCX, found these and ordered one today.

I ordered the first one for $12+shipping from cableorganizer.com out of FL and I'll give it a shot when it comes in.
