2006 SEMA Show Car Dodge Magnum SRT-8 about to get a Carputer

Howdy...

I built this car for SEMA last year, it had the prototype 426 cubic inch motor built for it based on the 6.1L Hemi SRT motor.

This is what I bought from a friend for $450:

VOOM PC
Ampie case
VIA EPIA MII10000 motherboard
512mb of ram
M1-atx power supply
40Gb Harddrive
700TSV 7" Touchscreen Monitor

I just ordered a CD/DVD Drive for it and I have been reading the FAQ to figure out what I need to do to install it...any advice would be appreciated.

how you getting the sound to the speakers? Are you going to have it go through a Head Unit, or you just going straight to some amps

As I like to say...."That looks slow AND inexpensive".

I like the Magnums, and yours is very, very nice.
Good luck with the FAQs; they have been most helpful for my (ver NON-SEMA) install.

My attempt at humour.

As in "That looks slow AND inexpensive....NOT!"

finally got around to installing the Car PC... It is a Voom with a 7" touch screen.

I have a Pioneer AVIC Z1 Nav unit so I am not going to use the Car PC for Radio, MP3, or Navigation....just datalogging my car sensors, internet, and DVDs for the wife on trips.

I have the Avic Z1 mounted in the dash right now and will of course not move it so I am looking at making a swivel mount for the 7" screen so it can be moved in front of the driver/passenger seat and removed when not it use.

I will post pics as I go, I have the PC unit mounted under the passenger side dash and the DVD player in the glovebox.
