G'day XCESIV,

Welcome to the forums. As far as I know there's no operator that installs CarPC's as their main business. It's still very much a "hobby", and I would think the vast majority of those with CarPC's (or wanting a CarPC) are taking the DIY approach. With that in mind, you're absolutely in the best place to start. This forum has a wealth of information, and there are plenty of mp3car members from Melbourne as well.

Say G'day to the other Aussies in this thread: How many Australian mp3Cars are out there ?

Cheers,

im not too confident with building my own. Basically with the amount of detail involved in my ideal project im looking at needing someone professional.

I have typed up 10 pages listing all features and requirements. Including all the rules and regulations each feature must have to pass ADR rules and also keep me satisfied.

Yeah.. no company in Australia will do this for you... a basic music only carputer maybe. But this sort of integration, no way. You may find a mp3car user that lives near you that could physically help you but thats a long shot.

i might have found someone. ASPE designs. They are keen. The only thing that worries me is that i dont know who they are, and hav never heard of them before.

The one thing the are not keen on (for safety reasons) is setting up the car pc to change the gears in the auto.

Well I wish you luck XCESIV.

As for ASPE, I've certainly not heard of them, and a quick search shows nothing on these forums about them. Do they have a website ? Link ?

I'd be interested to know what a company would charge for these types of enhancements. It's all plenty expensive enough when you DIY.

Cheers,
