Hi everyone!

Long time lurker here.

I've got an '93 Toyota MR2 and I'm almost ready to install the carputer. I would just like if some more knowledgable people could look over my plans and point out any mistakes I'm about to make or give me pointers.

Here's the breakdown of everything to be installed:

Compaq nc6000

Lilliput 7" 16:10 touchscreen

StreetDeck North America

BU-353 usb GPS antenna

Sirius SC-C1 receiver (I will transfer my subscription from my Sportster to this.)

Sirius SC-C1 USB adapter from Mitchjs

You seem to have forgotten the most important bit. How are you going to power it?

6yr old first install died 20/8/2005 as result of bad bios flash.

New system : 6x5x2" contains 1GHz C3 PCM9373, ISR based PSU, 8Gb flash DOM, 98Lite, DirectShow based frontend.
GPS : Rikaline 6010.
Display : LTM08C351 + LVDS receiver.

where are you going to mount that laptop. its a widescreen version isn't it. are u going to use a shutdown controller for this setup?
