First of all, giving us a brand of motherboard isn't much help.
Second of all, have you considered looking in the manual?
Third & last, why don't you use the audio connectors on the rear of the motherboard?

Answer to Question1. Well I figured it wouldnt hurt.
Answer to Question2. Yes and the manual says nothing. http://http://www.via.com.tw/en/prod..._id=202#Manual

If your refuring to the minijack in the back which is intergrated in to the mother board. A Rca audio out to my amp sounds better. and B. There is a broken joint some where in the female part and needs to be replaced. I purchased this Case

because of the fact it had rca outs. Sadly enough neather the case company or VIA gave me a cable. So I need to make my own.

Thanks,

Chris

Hey psigti, I think I found some info for you...

Looking at the connector, the way you took a picture of it, here are the pin outs.

Top row, left to right:
1: Audio out left
2: Audio 5V
3: Audio out right
4: Mic bias
5: Mic

Bottom row, left to right:
1: Audio return left
2: No Connection (No pin!)
3: Audio return right
4: Audio ground
5: Audio ground

You are going to want to use the audio out left and right and the audio ground. The pins on your daughterboard with the RCA jacks should be the same. I hope this helps!

I actually pulled the info off of my Intel D201GLY2 board. The FP audio connector is identical to yours.
