Are you sure you don't mean a DC-DC power supply?
DC is what's in your vehicle.
AC is what's in your home.
And the proper wiring should be in the product manual. If not, posting the make/model of your PSU might be helpful.

It might help if you tell us what "this" is referring to. There are LOTS of power supplies, and I don't beleive anyone here has perfected their ESP to work on the Internet to figure out what your referring to.

Ahem. The device you are referring to is a DC-DC power suppy, the M2-ATX.
You don't put the computer into standby because the M2-ATX does that for you automatically.
What you are doing is first manually putting the computer into standby, then turning the ignition off. This causes the M2-ATX to send a pulse to your computer, similar to pressing the power button. In this case, it is telling your computer to turn on.
Don't do anything. Just shut the car off and the computer will shut off by itself. It will start automatically when you turn the car back on - but you need to wait more than a minute before you restart the car due to timing issues on the M2-ATX.

Did you set up the ABCD jumpers? What do you have them set to?

Yea I would agree.... I don't understand why you would have the accessory wire connected to the AMP remote turn on...
Wonder at this point what is actually telling the m2-atx to turn 'on' at this point!
Here's a link to the manual incase the OP doesn't have one... http://www.mp3car.com/products/Power...ATX-manual.pdf

Says right there on page 2 of the manual:
Quote:
J3 Ignition (switched battery, positive. Can test by connecting it to Battery +)

You might also want to try looking in the FAQ's in the Power Supplies forum. Specifically, the M2-ATX(-HV) 160 watt Intelligent DC-DC PSU
Not that your bother us, you just might find an answer quicker then relying on someone posting back.
