Hi mate, what kind of nokia do you have?

From the "trying to connect" message i guess your using FreeFone so you need to identify what port number your connecting to manually through the bluetooth software and then go into the settings.ini in freefone and edit it with that port number.

You don't need to connect it manually as freefone will make the connection on its own.

Morning,
Yeah thats a limitation of freefone i'm afraid but i think i know of an app that can help you get round it as long as your nokia and your bt dongle support multiple bt connections at the same time (its has to for it to work)

I'm off to work now but i'll find that app for you and post it later.

EDIT: Here you go = http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/s...=audio+gateway

Have a read, that app shoud sort it out for you.

Well there doesn't seem to be an auto answer option in Freefone which leads me to believe that this is something to do with the phone and not the software.

Check the handsfree options on your phone as it sounds to me like part of the handsfree profile.

you might be right but somehow am suspecting the other utility that connect the phone with th computer
when i used the utility to connect to the phone without even running freefone it did the same thing

and i dont think that it has to do with my phone b/c i tried 3 different ones

What happens if you dont start freefone or the audio app and just have your audio gateway connected to the pc manually, when a call comes in does it work correctly or does it still auto answer?

What bt software are you using with your new dongle?

Well in that case you were right the 1st time when you said you suspected the gateway software.

I don't think there's anything more i can do for you other than suggest you post in the developement thread for that app and see if the author can help you troubleshoot it.

I dont mena to hijack this thread, but let me know if this is a bad idea and i will start a new one

I have a similar issue. Once I am in Freefone and connect, i still cannot hear the sound from my speakers, but still do through the actual phone. I downloaded the utility, and after clicking the "poll" button, nothing happens. This is generic bluetooth 2.01 dongle with not even a case to show a manufacturer.

The reason i think it can connect to multiple bluetooth devices, is the fact that the headset profile is active, as well as the DUN profile. I believe they use different ports so what might be the issue here? I would greatly appreciate any help, this is the last piece to the puzzle before my install.

Thanks!
