Jetway motherboard SQ

Getting a Jetway J7F4K1G5D-LF motherboard soon

http://www.jetway.com.tw/jw/ipcboard...name=J7F4K1G5D

Just wandering how this sound card would compare to a deck running mp3s as in quality wise
its a Realtek ALC655 6-Channel AC 97

Thanks

The motherboard is only one part of the equation in a sound setup.
Other factors include cabling, quality of the music file, and the general setup of your audio system.

Assuming a good-auality mp3 file and a good audio setup that is wired correctly should sound at least as good as a headunit.

Also the onboard audio is never going to sound "great". It is perfectly sufficient for what I do, but I also run it through a $13 4ch amp... So SQ isnt my thing obviously.

But as a warning, you want want to read up on that motherboard. In my searched for mobos, I saw that, but I am pretty sure it doesnt support S3, which would really suck.

S3 is a power state. In XP it is standby, in Vista and OSX it is sleep.
