Hello,

I’m looking into putting a PC in my truck (2006 Silverado 1500 ext. cab). I currently have an Alpine system (IVA-W200 NVE-N827A PXA-H701) witch is ok but im looking into something I can tweak around with & something different. I Started to look into the ability to interface directly into my current radio witch would be cool but doest look like that’s something that can be done easily.

So ive been cursing MP3.COM and looking into options, I figured I would post and get some opinions from people with more knowledge then my self. I’m looking into the G4 or going with one of the Complete Car Computer Package on the website, I have a double din so it shouldn’t be to hard to put a display there or put the G4 there but my main thing is I want to be able to use my sound processor & I want FM Radio.


I’m just looking for some input on pros or cons of the G4, is it any good, does it work well. Any one has any problems with it. I read a few post on it seemed like there were some problems mostly software bugs but they were from last year so maybe some fixes have been done

Is it better to go with a Complete Car Computer Package going to a display instead what are the pros or cons of going that direction is one better then the other?
