**Newb Install** G35 Monitor Power
This is a definite newb question and was probably asked already but i need to know if there is any other way to power a lilliput 7" TSV screen. I am thinking of buying one but dont want to have the wires poking out of the center console just to plug into the cigarette lighter. I heard people say that they have powered their monitors through the opus power supply can someone give me an insight on how that is done.

12v fdrom a HDD power connector.
Yellow = 12v.
Black = Ground.

It works for any monitor that uses 12V power. Yes you can use a M2-ATX in the same way. Although me having a diffrent setup, I would simply use the existing regulator and fuse that your screen came with and use a relay to switch it on and off, that way the screen comes on right away, which is good if you ever plan to use a backup cam.

IT works for any device that draws 12v power, so long as it doesn't overload the M2.
Honestly, if you are using a Xenarc, it has built-in regulation, so you are safe to wire the monitor directly to the vehicle's ACC line.

Wait, not to try to think that i know what Im talking about, but when you say straight to the ACC line, you mean through a relay? From what I understand it is bad to run anything through the ACC line. It was made to send signals, not power devices. So you have to use a relay and connect the constant power to that. Then the ACC activates the relay to power the screen from constant.

Powering just the monitor through the stock radio harness is ok, as it will draw comparable current.
Powering the computer through the radio harness is NOT ok. |

Like Toaster said, that will work..... What screen is it? Make sure it had built in power regulation, because the radio harness power is unregulated and will destroy your screen over time.
