Newbie question / advice ?

OK I used search to some degree and I figure that maybe I should just ask the "Experts" here.

I have a 1992 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo

What I am looking to do

1) Run Conzult diagnostics F/T and later down the line possibly run standalone EMS. I would like internet access down the road and maybe GPS or DVD playback capability. Nothing more

Options

1) Laptop - from what I am reading, it looks like I can run a laptop dedicated for my car to run conzult diagnostics. It might be a little complicated for the permanant stand alone EMS.

2) Carputer - I am thinking of getting a touch screen monitor for my glovebox ( don't want a double din feature )and connect to a car pc hardrive mounted behind the passenger seat.

Recommendations ???

what do you guys think ?

what should I consider with both options ?

Hard to say. Both options will work. You can do the touch screen in the glovebox with either a laptop or a desktop. The things that decide that are whatever matters to you the most like whether you want to start the computer automatically or manually, whether you need to take it out to do updates and stuff like that.

Both will work.
