Car PC in a E60 Questions

Hi There !
An other neewbie question ..

After a ton of looking around on the net on the best way to install a PC in a 530 xd Touring 2007 I'm left very confused and wondering , but thanks to the brainpower on this forum I prey for some help and answers.

1. I plan to replace the Factory Head Unit , but have seen some posts that this controlles the vidio input ? is that true , and would that kill my plan to replace the head unit ?

2. Is this model of BMW using the IBUS or some other interface ?

The Plan was to install a PC, use the standard scren since it's a company car. Replace the Head Unit and the amp for McIntosh equipment.

I'd like to hook up a PC for MP3. DVD. MKV and AVI playing, maybe navigation and of course internet. But the converters I have seen only allow you to use composit and NOT RGB or VGA from the carPC to the screen, I dolike the best picture and sound quality possible.

Thanks In Advance !!

Yes, but it answered your two questions.

1. The factory Head unit is required,

2. it doesn't have iBus it has MOST.
