You have to give us more information. What do you want the PC to do.... will it play video? Will it connect to the internet? Is there a budget? In the past I had a M10000 which i think is the model before the m2 models, and it was cr@ppy with video. Maybe the m2s' are better?

Anyways, give us more details on what you expect the PC to do.

Sounds about like the one I had.

I ran a laptop size drive for the power/heat/room to put it. I also added a PCI video card to get a better output.

From the boards you listed, the little Valley board is superior in terms of computing ability and minimal power draw.

As far as what else you need, I suggest thoroughly reading the FAQs.

My D201gly2 arrived today. Think i've got most things to get it up and running. So i now need to put it to gether. I also need to buy some power cables, shielded signal cables for installing into my car and a screen. But will get tht sorted out in a bit, will get it up a running in my house and get things installed.

Hello,

You mentioned handsfree I believe your referring to using your cell phone via bluetooth with CarPC? I've been able to get handsfree to function with two different front-ends Road Runner and StreetDeck but found the audio quality (how my voice sounds to caller) to be okay at best.

For handsfree you may want to consider an after market unit like the ones made by Parrot, I've found the sound quality with them to be FAR superior to what you can achieve with a CarPC.

I have the D201GLY2A (same board as your's, but with different heatsinks and a CPU fan). next to the RAM stick there should be 2 SATA port and 1 PATA (IDE) port. your HDD plugs in the one of those ports.

then connect power from the opus. (you may need a PATA>SATA molex adapter if your HDD is SATA).
