1996 Honda Elantra Station Wagon

My mom currently drives this car, but in about 3 months I will be getting it. When I do I will be using it and I only see fit to a car computer because I am the BIGGEST computer geek at my school (and I would like something to brag about). I plan on using the guide from https://www.timekiller.org/carpc/. The things I don’t know about are how exactly I should get power from the battery. And if it gets too complex I think I may have my local body shop install it for me. The second problem is that I have no clue where to install the PC. As you can see I have limited space in the front so I plan on using the XENARC 700IDT™
7" IN-DASH LCD Monitor w/ VGA & Touch Screen so it will fit in the center compactly and look like factory. Places I think I may be able to install the Computer are under the passenger seat (easy ?obdII? connection and fairly easy access) The other location I can think of offhand to install the PC would be the trunk The reason I would want to install it by the spare tire is so it looks more "factoryish" and so I have full use of the trunk. The last idea I had was to install it in the glove box Any warnings, suggestions, or a general hardware how-to would greatly appreciated

You mean Hyundai Elantra. First off, it is fairly easy to run the cable for the power for the PC. Basically you want to run to your local car audio store and by a 8 AWG or 4 AWG amp install kit. 4 AWG is prefered because it can hold more power and do it safetly. I will say you have to take your time when running the cable, I had to do a amp install on my brothers Accent and its a very time consuming thing. My truck took 15 minutes. The Accent took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes, do to the compactness of the car. Placing the PC is all up to you. Alot of people put it in the trunk attached to one side of it, others even go as far as putting it into the spare tire cavity (which to me is bad, because what if you get a flat?). Some put it into the glove box, but you have to make sure you have really good cooling. Some make new compartments in the floor and other put right on the back seat (the route I took). There are so many places its not funny. The screen is easy because it looks like you have space to put a 7 inch screen there, by removing that cassette deck and the compartment below it.
