Intel Motherbored CD Sound Pins

Hey,
I have the Intel D201GLY2A (Fan Cooled) motherbored and I can't seem to find the pins for the CD/DVD drive for the sound.

Are there any pins on the motherbored for the sound or no and if no how can I get sound from the CD/DVD drive?

I'm not sure I fully understand the question so forgive me if I give an incorrect answer.

The CD-Rom should be connected via your IDE connector.

Your sound output will come from the green port on the back of the I/O panel.

There's also a set of header pins on your mobo that connects your front audio panel. Is this the set of pins you are looking for? If so the header is located directly behind the audio port.

beatle2 is talking about the 4-pin wire for analog audio from the optical drive.
Have you looked in the manual?

If your talking about the manual for the motherbored then yes, still can't find the "analog audio from the optical drive."

Maybe there's not one.

yeah, those analog outs are kinda legacy nowadays. I'll try and dig up some info, but I'm pretty sure that was just to get around some OS and software issues in the very early days of CD drives on PC's.

EDIT:
CD players on computers used to have volume knobs and headphone jacks as well. You will be just fine without it.
