Did you do a regular windows install to the drive? Or did you mess with Nlite or any of the write filtering solutions?

That is the strange thing i did both and the full xp install had the fastest boot time.... Kinda strange huh? If i used minilogon with a full xp install it would have a really fast boot time. Of course i have to wait 20 secs to even begin the post and from there its only like 6 or 7 secs to full boot.

Cool. I'm not quite there yet, still got some parts to collect, but that's good news.

If i can give any advice is really research your motherboard. That has destroyed my boot time. Since my MB takes forever to post and also beware of power consumption.

.....

BX, after using and installing both RR and CF, do you have some Pros/Cons from each? I figure both are going to have issues, as no software is perfect... But I am trying to evaluate the Frontend pieces that are out there and figured since you have just used both you would have a good comparison opinion.

Thanks!

Hmm That is an excellent question... I don't think i'm able to answer it quite yet. Centrafuse is definitely smoother and it had OBDII support but i have not tried to use phone control yet which i had tried to use on RR. To be honest i think CF is a much better front end for everything that i've tried. Of course RR has more flexibiltiy on a more simple not but CF has the same flexibilty but u have to get deep into some coding. I like how RR lets you add ur own gestures. Unfortunately CF does not allow that flexibility.

I guess i would have to say for 125 bucks it was well worth it. I would defintely say DO NOT BUY THE NAVIGATION VERSION!!!

I tried phone control with CF i must say i'm a tad disappointed but its still much better than freefone. Phone control in CF works as long as ur phone is connected to the comp the sad thing is that once you lose connection u have to restart the computer to get it back or maybe just restsart your bluetooth. This maybe because i have not activated my centrafuse yet.

Ok sports fans :-D I just got my screen today. I bought the Linitx Transflective 7" Screen. Its a nice screen but as you would've guessed because its transflective the colors are slightly washed out but its still a beautiful screen. I'm gonna try and get some get direct sunlights pics but i'll takes some regular shots in a min i was just too excited. I had to tell the community. I also got the 800x480 resolution using Cartft drivers for their CFT700H screen which is just a rebranded linitx screen.

Looks like a decent screen, buttons that aren't too big and ugly are always nice!

Did you buy the Navigation version of CF or just from hearing others? If so, was it buggy, not configurable enough, etc...? Looking for a solution for my wifes new durango and I need something easy for her to use.

Just some advice for those reading this build process. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT get the Apex MW100 if you are using the M2-ATX supply. You will be forced to drill holes and figure out how to mount this stupid thing. I bought and now i have to buy another stupid case. Thats 70 bucks down the old toilet

Just purchased a case from mo-co-so.co. They have excellent customer service and have a great product as well. The prices are nice so if you are building something similar to what i'm building i HIGHLY recommend talking to the people over there. They will make modifications and not charge u 10 million dollars to do it. Here is a video from another forum page of their case being run over by a car
