How big is the HDD? I have a 40 GB HDD, which is small if you take into account all the software, etc. I went with a 40 to avoid having to partition. All music and video will go on a seperate drive so I can take it in and out of the car. Are you planing on using 2 OSes?

are you using the windows boot disc? is the bios set to boot from the cd? I'm pretty sure this isn't really an issue anymore, but if you are trying to partition the drive to fat16 it only allows up to 2gb per partition. Could you write down step by step what you are doing when you start the computer that way it is easier to diagnose the problem. computers can be finicky sometimes

Two quick questions.

1 Are you using a slimline cd\dvd drive?

2 Do you have the hard drive and cd\dvd drive on the same ide cable?
