no sir.

i should also add that the power led is not coming on, but i'm not 100% on that since i had to switch it up to match the connections on the board. the power button does work and the cpu fan spins but thats it.

do i need to install bios or drivers first? i did not get the cd since i bought an open box but i can dl from msi.

try removing the cmos battery (little watch battery for a minute or two) then replacing if that doesnt work try running only the PSU, mobo, CPU+heatsink+fan, internal speaker and see if you get a beep

i removed the battery and it didnt make a difference. there is also a jumper setting to clear cmos. do you think i should do that until i get it figured out?

couple other things: p32 keyboard is flashing when i turn it on... usb optical drive mmakes a little noise.

i will try taking off everything but the motherboard/cpu, ps, moitor, and keyboard. i have read something about ram compatability causing issues as well. do you think i should remove it?

possibly a doa(dead on arrival) motherboard. ask for a replacement?

post(power on self test) should at least come on to tell you what's wrong.

A friend of mine had the same thing on his test bench a few days ago, he wasn't giving it enough power. Make sure it's not being under-powered.

power led is coming on now (was a connector issue), cpu fan turns on, harddrive spins up, usb optical drive works, ps2 key board blinks.

just no beeps or video out.

Is there an onboard speaker or do you need to attach the case speaker? Make sure there's something for it to play sound out of to alert you. Remove the RAM alltogether and try to force the system to beep to be sure that you're at least capable of getting them.

Does the screen turn blank or does it just stay in a low-power state?
