newbie

Just registered....this hobby looks very interesting. I have sold a lot of hardware for the Law enforcement sector such as laptops, and modular units like what is being built here....I will have to do some searching and reading to understand all of the components required to build a system I already have a good sound system and head unit....how many of you are using 802.11 to upload files from your home system?

I use 802.11b and some self powered pocket firewire drives for huge content updates.

i'm dead serious :-)

I'm working to get the same setup if i can find the clifford G5 wizzard software and cabling.

the guy with the toyota's username is cproaudio. If you find one of his posts he has a link to a topic with all of the pictures of his install, etc.

I've done some law enforcement sufff, installed e-911 systems in the back room and dispatch center. Got to see laptops in cars with a packet radio network. Got to see what happens to a laptop when its mount comes loose in a high speed chase and it goes out the window
