Hi all!
I've decided to put a pc in my car....
I red some useful site like dashpc.com, mp3car.com

and some other italian sites....
My project si a little bit different than any other because I want to use my pc also as a standalone htpc.
My problem is: power supply!
-the easiest and cheaper way is use an atx psu and an inverter, but atx psu is too big and inverter has too many interference, if I'm not wrong...
-the second way is leave my pc without ps and put atx and molex connector on the back of the pc-box (I think I can build a DIN-size case) adn use the opus dc-dc ps in the car an a normal atx psu at home. The cons are costs and look: I have to buy the not-so-cheap opus dc-dc converter and a normal atx psu
-the third way, I think it's the best, to use a dc-dc like pw-70a inside the box, put a normal dc connector on the back of the box and use a voltage regulator in car and a notebook psu at home.
I don't want to have startup/shutdown controller, because I'll build a swicth panel to control everything (pc, tft, ampli...)
What do you suggest me?
Is there any alternative to these solutions?
Is there any alternative to pw-70a?
I saw ITPS, but it's not good for me... is there any voltage regulator out there?
thanks in advance and sorry for my english!
cheers!
