car pc to alpine screen

Greetings,

I have the Alpine IVA D900 indash dvd player that is going in my 2004 STI. I am wanting to play MP3's on this screen as well as view my engine management software such as guages and other information concerning the specs of the vehicle. I have researched and found a company truman mobile that claims integration with the alpine screens. I have many RCA inputs on the brain of the Alpine head unit that will accept audio and video. If someone would be kind enough to post a list of the items I would need to build and connect the pc to this screen it would be greatly appreciated or give me info on where to search as to what motherboard and other hardware and software I would need. I would like to conenct the pc to a 4 inch screen from parts express that I can place where my ash tray is and this would be the monitor for the pc to view the engine software. Thank

Do some searching in the forums. I was thinking about going the 900 route but for the price its really not worth it. A full computer with GPS, DVD, internet, and all the other cool stuff that a computer can do costs about the same price. And the computer you can customise the interface. Get rid of the Alpine and build a VGA monitor into the dash instead. Just my two cents.
