I am a little embarrassed to ask such a basic question in this forum but would really appreciate anyone’s advice on this.

I recently bought a new CD/mp3 player for my car. I only had enough money for 2 speakers right now, but plan on getting 2 more as soon as I can. Until then I was wondering the correct way to wire 2 speakers to get true stereo. I have four pairs of wires, two pair for the front and two pair for the back. I have asked a couple of friends but have gotten two different answers.

Should I connect the 2 positives and 2 negatives from the front set for one speaker and do the same with the rear speakers for the second speaker
OR
Should I just connect either the front or the back with single pairs and just leave the other set unconnected(which seems logical to me).

in my experience as an installer (a long time ago) there were certain faders that you could do this to. your owners manual should help you on this. but to be safe use front for the front and rear...

just connect front to front and leave the rear till later. This way, you left and right balance adjustments will still work and it will be easy to install the rears later.

NEVER DO THIS!!!!! you can blow the HU/Amp.
