That's probably a good idea. But isn't that like hooking the cheap amp up to the Bose amp? I have no idea what would happen doing it like this (I haven't messed with car audio stuff in at least 16 yrs!).
I purchased a IECPSI2
shown here and a harness to plug into my existing wiring (out to the Bose amp and speakers). I found some documentation
here. If I'm reading this right, shouldn't I be able to wire the speaker lines shown on the diagram directly to the audio out on the sound card (ie, where the 'aftermarket radio' is listed on the first diagram)?
I probably need to post a diagram of what I'm talking about. Here's a hacked together MS Paint diagram of roughly what I'm talking about.
Any feedback is welcome - I'd like to avoid smoking my amp or anything
Edit: I just noticed the diagram doesn't show my Bose amp... oops. It's in there positioned before the speakers.
