Hello All,

Hope you can help me...???

I have a Pioneer car head unit (KEN-P8010R) with a 6x Disk CD-Changer. But i would like to replace the CD-changer with a Hard-Disk based Mp3 player. is this possible?

If any one knows of a product or some other way of getting MP3 to my head-unit i would like to hear from you...!!!

I also have the KEH-8010 with a six disc player.

I am running my carPC through the head unit, you need to get the adapter that allows you to have an aux as well as the cd player

It would be good if I could uses the normal CD controls on the Head unit to maybe select next track or maybe folder?

This system has CD text; I was hoping that someone might have found a way to send the Mp3 track information and music down the boot-loader cable?

What do you think is this possible?

IP bus adapetr, and the KEH 8010 is stock.

Pioneer use a proprietry interface, it is unlikely you will be able to use it for anything else.

However if you get the Steering wheel remote, it may be possible to use that with an IR input on a PC to control winamp. I think it's been talked about, so do a search on the forum. Also maybe on the winamp site.

This was discussed in another thread, but I think this is what you are looking for. The english version has all the relevant info, however the russian version has more info.

fantastic...!!!

Just what I was looking for…but I don’t think I have the brain to be able to make it

I’m sure someone must sell a off the shelf kit or complete system?

If I find any thing I will let you all know.

Thanks for all your help…!!!
