Question DIY Glow gauges

Ok first off, if anyone know how I could go about changing my name to LaserLine instead of LaserLien that would be great considering it's a typo when I registered.

Second, my real question. I have a 1988 Toyota Corolla FX and I have searched everywhere to try to find glow gauges, but simply can't and have decided that they just don't make them for my car. So, is there anyway I could make them myself or does anyone have any ideas that I could try to get glow gauges in my car.

Thanks

click User CP (control panel) and change it there.

Wax paper with the gauge dials printed on it illuminated by a blue light would work. You could use 3M spray adhesive to attach the paper to the back side of a piece of plexi-glass.

There seems to be no option to change my user name.

Do you have any picture or know of a site that has done this. I love to see a finished product and google doesn't seem to be helping.

mp3z24, I just called Digi-Key, who I might add were pretty good on support (no wait either), and they said that they don't carry the EL Sheets anymore and that they are discontinued. He said they still carry the inverters though and I think he said the sheets were made by Panasonic. Do you have a link to the products both sheet and inverter that would be used? Thanks

Nice guide but one suggestion: Go to kinkos.

Follow the guide and get your file done in Photoshop. Do a test print at home and set it in your gauge cluster. Then go to kinkos and get it printed on thickest glossy board they have. I dont know the name or size of it, but I used it for an arcade control panel and it worked great.

It will be a MUCH cleaner look when lit up and probably cost $3.

edit: Thick board wouldnt work with this method unless it was lit from the sides. or you cutout all the numbers/marks ...
