Hi

i am new to this site and i was wondering if anyone else had an 03 accord coupe and has done a capPC already. I have seen one on car domain and wanted some questions answered. Please let me know. Thanks

i have a 99 accord but i haven't installed it yet.

and to answer you question, yes their is one. Type 'accord' in search and you'll see a '02 accord which is the same generation as yours.

'03 Accord is a complete redesign. Not same as '02, though

you're right. my fault. i know it's been done, not sure if i've seen it on this sight though. I think on honda-acura.net, someone put a screen in the lower pocket. i would look for a pic, but i'm at work and limited with time.

i know the 2003 accord is a little wierd with the climate control intergrated with the stereo system...is there anyway to take out the stereo system and still use the climate controls??? i don't want to lose climate controls over installing a carputer...

i actually have a 2004 accord coupe, it has the same stereo as 2003. i was planning to have someone make a new dashboard for me so they can move the climate controls and stereo lower so i can mold the 7" monitor into the dashboard on top because this way i don't lose the climate controls. does anyone know how much that would cost for someone to do that? i dont' want to put the screen below the already existing stereo cuz that's really inconvenient to look at while driving and searchin for songs...plus the shift knob would be blocking most of the viewing for passengers and me.... please help!

I have an 03 accord coupe. I am in the process of purchasing everything for my carputer. the install of the lcd is really the tough point with this project. Here is my plan. I am going to temporarily install the lcd in the lower pocket, maybe some sort of slide out that I would have to fab myself, but i dont want it visible when I am not in the car so I will have to make it so the door closes. (if you are not worried about taking the door off of the lower compartment, there is an install kit that you can purchase and all of the hard work is taken car of for you - I dont have a link nor the name of it because I dont plan on doing that)

Another thing to think about is a new install kit for the existing stereo location. do a google search for TURBO2, they make an install kit you might be interested in.

Ok, so the second part of my project is this. Once it is installed, I want to somehow integrated the climate control and display into the carputer and have it show up on the lcd, that way I can remove the stock stereo completely and have everything run through the carputer.

Where are you located, maybe we can run our plans by eachother and work on the cars together, as I know this is going to be a complicated endevour.
