Where to locate in F350

Hey Guys,

I have a Crew cab 97 ford F350. I am trying to figure out where to mount the screen. I am thinking about modding the dash (pic enclosed) to accomodate the screen. Does anyone think it may be too high. I am just thinking that I have very few places to locate the screen. There is that one or making a mini console that come off the bottom of the dahs and the sreen would be more horizontal than vertical. Kinda looks like an upside down J.

Let me know what you think. Or opinions

I don't really like the popout ones. Would rather have it mounted. If all works out I wont need the head unit. But we'll see.

Well, I have the DWW-7VGA and it puts the screen about where your sketch places yours. I think the placement is perfect for navigation, it is not too far from the view of the road. Even with it that high the only other vehicles that can see the screen are other trucks(crown vics can't so no hassels). I don't know how it is in other cars, but using the TS in a F-350 takes practice to keep the hand steady on most roads.

Hey bridger, got any pics of that screen in yours???

An F350 has quite the stiff suspension.
